Chapman/Reaney family

Family of William Chapman (1776 - 1852) and his second wife, Mary Reaney (abt 1815 - 1875)
 William Chapman and Mary Reaney were married on 2 April 1834, the entry appears the Edward Chapman book and register as follows:
Wm Chapman & Mary Rainey was married 2nd Day of April 1834
Mary's name has appeared with spelling variations: Reaney, Rainey, Really, Gainey.
It has been suggested that she was known as Bridget and her religion Roman Catholic, but no proof of this has been shown.
Very little has been found on Mary, a public tree entry on Ancestry.com suggests she came to Ireland from America but no response has been received to an enquiry about this.

Mary's death notice appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald, placed by her daughter Mary Jane, wife of Joseph John Rochester:
